Professional Liability
- Securities – Engaged by defendant's insurer in an attorney professional negligence matter for losses arising from the premature sale of publicly traded shares. The plaintiffs alleged they were misled into entering monetization agreements that effectively constituted a forward sale of their shares. Our role included critiquing the plaintiff's expert report, preparing an independent quantification of alleged damages, and assisting counsel with causation-related arguments.
- Software – Engaged by the defendant's insurer to quantify losses resulting from an insurance brokers' failure to place a cyber coverage policy for a software company. We quantified the loss of business income that would have been payable under a cyber policy.
- Commercial printing company – Retained by insurers to review and comment on the plaintiff's claim for loss of business value due to allegedly faulty installation of the concrete slab on which its presses were located.
- Subprime lender – Prepared an expert report opining on damages sustained by the plaintiff in a litigation matter involving their auditor. We were retained to calculate the past lost profits and the loss of business value resulting from alleged wrongdoings of the auditor which led to the destruction of the business. The matter is ongoing.
Civil Liability
- Prévimed, 04 inc. c. Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux de l'Outaouais (CISSSO), 2025 QCCS 2656 – On behalf of CISSSO, we prepared a responding expert report and provided expert testimony regarding damages arising from the cancellation of a medical equipment supply contract. The presiding judge ultimately adopted our quantum in allocating damages.
- Utility distributers – Numerous engagements on behalf of utility distributors (electricity, gas) quantifying remediation costs resulting from damages to property by third parties.
- Convenience store and gas station – Retained by insurer of a municipality accused of improper management of public works resulting in a claim for past lost profits and loss of business value by a business affected by the works.
- Public work contractors - Numerous engagements acting on behalf of municipalities relating to claims for lost profit related to unsuccessful bids for public works contracts.
- Dentist – Retained by the insurer of a hotel to respond to an expert report opining on damages resulting from the personal injury of a dentist.
- Stylist - Retained by the insurer of a building to respond to an expert report opining on damages resulting from the personal injury of a self-employed stylist as a result of a slip and fall.
Product Liability
- Waste disposal bins manufacturer – Retained by the insurer of a manufacturer of waste disposal bins to review a claim for remediation costs resulting from paint issues with the bins.
- Food manufacturer – Retained by the insurer to quantify losses resulting from a product recall of a protein bar manufacturer.
- Fresh produce importer – Retained by the insurer to quantify losses resulting from a product recall of mango.

- Retained on behalf of plaintiff in a personal injury case to quantify past and future loss of income resulting from medical malpractice allegations.
